PROJECT DESIGNER (SAN DIEGO OFFICE)Job Status: Full Time Position Starting Wage / Pay: Commensurate with experience Prerequisites: A minimum of 10 years in the design of retail/commercial building and site planning projects with strong hand and computer graphic skills. Experience with senior housing and/or hospitality projects a plus. AutoCAD knowledge preferred. Description of Duties: The applicant will be working with the Senior Designer and Project Principal in the planning and design process. He or she will be responsible for preparation of presentation drawings and renderings as well as participating in the client and governmental review process. SENIOR LIVING STUDIO LEADERJob Status: Full Time Position Starting Wage / Pay: Commensurate with experience Prerequisites: A minimum of 10 years in the design and site planning of senior living, skilled nursing and/or hospitality projects. The ideal candidate should have strong marketing skills and an established client base. We are looking for an energetic team builder to provide leadership within SGPA's current senior living team and within the market area. Licensed Architect required. Description of Duties: The ideal candidate has demonstrated leadership in the planning and design of senior living and/or hospitality projects; is experienced in leading a design team through agency entitlement negotiations, presentations and approvals; provides management overviews of PM's project contract preparation including presentation and negotiation strategies; provides management overview of the DD-CA process; markets the firm to form new client relationships (bringing existing clients or projects a plus); participates in setting the long-range direction of the firm. Description of Duties: The ideal candidate has demonstrated their mastery of managing large-scale projects and design teams including multidisciplinary consultants; has examples of managing projects within established scopes, schedules, and hourly budgets; excellent technical knowledge of building systems and ability to provide direction and mentorship to junior staff. Construction Administration experience is a plus. Understands the Architect's role in the development process and is able to work closely with, and establish a trusting relationship with developer-clients. Construction Administration experience is a plus. Experienced in working directly with education clients in a programming and design capacity. JOB CAPTAINJob Status: Full Time Position Starting Wage/Pay: Commensurate with experience Prerequisites: A minimum 4-8 years of retail/commercial, mixed-use or senior housing experience; strong management, communication & AutoCAD skills; Revit experience and knowledge of SketchUp and Photoshop are a plus. Description of Duties: The candidate has demonstrated the ability to manage a production team and consultants within established scopes, schedules and budgets and has excellent technical knowledge of building systems and the knowledge of the permitting and construction process. He or she should have strong AutoCAD skills. Licensed Architect or active pursuit of licensure preferred. |
