A modernized & expanded Kearny High Educational Complex
Kearny High Educational Complex’s 34.3-acre site is undergoing a complete renovation which complements recently completed Phase 1 improvements to the stadium, ROTC program, baseball field, concessions building, and the Design and Innovation Building; all of which were designed and implemented by SGPA. This project includes a new two-story classroom and administration building, modernization of nine classroom buildings, new softball field with outdoor assembly spaces and removal of out of data portable buildings from campus.
SGPA led three public outreach events to inform the programming and scope of the project. Later in the Design process, SGPA led an Architecture Studio with Students to inform the design on an architectural feature on campus. Renderings and space planning diagrams were a critical component to engage the public stakeholders and were produced on a rapid timeline.
