Last week marked the construction halfway point for the Oak Park Elementary School renovation!
In honor of #CaliforniaArtsEducationMonth, we joined SDUSD leaders and students to celebrate the upcoming Music Building, which will inspire a new generation of creative minds.
In last week’s Media Day event, the students performed and gave speeches – showing quite a bit of excitement for the new buildings to come! District officials also attended and spoke about the importance of local community involvement and supporting the arts.
In partnership with San Diego Unified School District and Soltek Pacific, SGPA is excited to be part of such a positive impact on the local community! Oak Park received a Magnet School Grant last month, which will support the new media arts maker space. The grant would make the campus SDUSD’s first elementary Media Arts Magnet School!
In addition to the Music Building, this Whole Site Modernization project provides new classrooms for kindergarteners and 4th/5th graders, along with a new playground, new shade structures, site upgrades, and existing building renovations. Stay tuned for more updates!
