This project includes Campus Gateway Signage for the Main entrances into San Diego State University's Campus.
Our design services included a comprehensive program to enhance the campus identity and visitor experience through highly visible wayfinding, signage, and graphic design. The Gateway elements included in this project are part structure, part signage, and part landscape. The project includes a 25-foot tower featuring traditional Spanish tile, showcasing the University seal within a landscaped median of local flora.
It also comprises two 10-foot-long curved SDSU monument signs, as well as two accent 12-foot-tall gateway structures. The materials utilized consist of clay roof tiles for the tower and gateway structures, complemented by rustic-finished plaster, Spanish tile accent niches, and dark bronze metal vents and grates. Additionally, the design incorporates accent lighting aimed at highlighting the structures and enhancing the overall landscape aesthetic.
