Conceived as a Spanish hill town to nestle into the landscape and fit within a 40-foot-high height limit, La Vida Real blends with Rancho San Diego’s predominant Spanish-Colonial architecture.
The 11-acre 382,000 SF design of the one-, two-, and three-story buildings incorporate a Santa Barbara style featuring clay tile roofs, cement plaster, stone, and wrought iron throughout. The twelve courtyards, each with a different theme, seamlessly blend the exterior spaces with the interior, creating a resort-style senior living community.
With levels of care ranging from independent living to memory care, this community was thoughtfully designed and planned to encourage residents to age in place. The site includes 205 independent living units, 114 assisted living units, and 24 memory care units for the wide variety of residents to comfortably call home.
