New senior housing for The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda.
As a component of the larger redevelopment of the historic Del Monte warehouse, the Alameda Housing Authority introduced a new 31-unit senior housing community to cater to the island’s low-income senior population.
The project is financed with 9% California tax credits and surpasses California energy code requirements through various measures, such as the utilization of rooftop solar photovoltaic panels. Extensive landscaping and community gardens have been thoughtfully incorporated, enhancing the high quality of life within this vibrant senior living community. Along with extensive community gardens, this project implements many energy saving measures including rooftop solar photovoltaic panels.
