New expansion to the Child Development Center on the University of San Diego's (USD) Campus providing a safe and stable environment for families’ full periods of child care prior to traditional Pre-K and Kindergarten enrollment, including two new classrooms for Infants and Toddlers.
USD’s Manchester Family Child Development Center (MFCDC) has been a centerpiece of the campus for more than 30 years, and is reflective of the University’s ongoing mission to provide holistic care for our community members. The MFCDC is able to accommodate 60 children between the ages of 2 ½ to 5 years of age. This building expansion includes expanding enrollment to include children between the ages of 6 months to 2 ½ years.
The project also includes two new classrooms accommodating infants and toddlers. Each classroom features play and learning spaces, wash and diapering areas, and rest/nap spaces. The new facility also provides spaces for administrative staff wellness, and much needed building maintenance and storage areas.
