Programming, Schematic Design, Entitlements, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Permitting, and Construction Administration for a new HCAI-3 medical office building and clinic in downtown Richmond.
The new building was constructed on the site of the existing clinic, which was housed in modular buildings also designed by SGPA. The facility houses Primary Care, Urgent Care, Imaging, Dental Labs, and a Wellness Center. The project encompasses approximately 30,000 SF of clinic space distributed across three stories, featuring 30 exam rooms and 8 dental stations.
It includes an Urgent Care Center with access to an Imaging Lab, as well as a community meeting space/garden, all operating under the status of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The construction approach involves design-assist procurement with a focus on phased construction and efficient transition planning/swing space management.
